What after post-COVID-19?

Well as we all know that “Life after Corona” will going to be very tough for everyone all over the world because of the deadly pandemic COVID-19 and everyone is hoping that a vaccine will soon be found and we all return to life as we knew it.

As you see the image above which shows the

situation of “life after corona”. According to some media reports, more than 100 million jobs will be at risk during and after the COVID-19 lockdown stage in India. The figures are really scary and I had never seen a situation like this in my entire life.

This is the time when all political parties should work together to develop an agenda for human development that focuses not just on GDP growth but also on enhancing livelihood security by generating sustainable occupations.

Aviation and tourism sectors are the worse affected sectors

Due to COVID-19, Indian tourism, and hospitality industry is staring at a potential job loss of around 38 million which is 70% of the total workforce

KPMG report

Around 75 million jobs in travel and tourism are at risk worldwide, one in eight of them in India, according to the world travel and tourism council. Earlier the council had projected a 50 million global job loss due to pandemic.

“The global economy could shrink up to 1% in 2020,” said United Nations. The analysis by the UN department of economic and social affairs (DESA) said that the world economy could contract by 0.9% in the worst scenario in 2020

“Life after corona” is going to be very worse and our economies will take a long time to recover from the pandemic COVID-19.

Pronab Sen, India’s first chief statistician, and currently the government’s data quality manager says when the business activity is resumed after the crisis, the recovery could be V-shaped initially but after a short spike, the momentum will decrease and long term impact of the crisis will start resurfacing.
